For the time being, those who already have it set up on their devices can still use it. Many users were shocked when the removal abruptly occurred late on Thursday night. Google has already acknowledged that it was given a government order instructing it to delist the well-known online game. In reaction to the Indian government banning numerous Chinese apps, including the then-popular Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), due to security concerns, Krafton created BGMI. Garena Free Fire, a similiar game, was also prohibited in February of this year.
Rumors and conjecture about potential justifications for a ban included links to recent suspicions that violent video games were involved, as well as fresh worries about data privacy and online security as #BGMI and #BGMIban began trending on Twitter. It's still possible to download New State Mobile, a different app that Krafton publishes.
