Rap legends Snoop Dogg and Eminem are prepared to add an NFT touch to their highly anticipated performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). The "Otherside" metaverse, a project by Yuga Labs' Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC) and NFT investment behemoth Animoca Brands, will serve as the inspiration for the performance. The VMAs have added a "Best Metaverse Performance" category to their list for the first time ever in an effort to recognize this emerging digital industry.
Eminem and Snoop Dogg will be reimagining the stage with the Otherside metaverse as the backdrop for their performances. For the Bored Apes NFTs, their most recent song collaboration, "From the D 2 The LBC," will be performed live with amazing effects.

The hype surrounding this performance has been generated by Snoop Dogg, an enthusiastic NFT collector, who has also helped to spread awareness of the Otherside metaverse on Twitter.
The Otherside, a gamified interoperable metaverse that is currently in testing, will provide Otherdeed NFTs to symbolize digital ownership of land plots in the BAYC-affiliated virtual environment. We'll call the proprietors of Otherdeed "Voyagers."
In July, The Otherside opened up its metaverse to users for the first time. 4,500 persons had signed up for the experience at the time.
