The Ghana Chamber of Mines and the Ghana Air Force will work together to increase government efforts in the fight against illegal mining.
As a result, some specialized aircraft are undergoing training in preparation for the exercise. These aircraft will conduct an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Recognizance (ISR) Survey of areas with illegal mining.
The three aircraft haven't been in use since 2014, according to George Mireku Duker, the deputy minister for lands and natural resources in charge of mines.
