The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Mr. Richard Ahiagbah, who serves as the party's director of communications, has argued that the NPP is the best economic manager for Ghana.
Mr. Ahiagbah's argument comes a day after Mr. John Dramani Mahama, the former president and 2020 NDC presidential candidate, tweeted on January 18, 2023, that the government's mismanagement of the economy is causing it to be on the verge of collapse.
"Poverty, I observed, has worsened due to extremely high inflation and price volatility," he continued. ".
The Savanna, Northern, and Upper West Regions have seen an increase in poverty as a result of extreme inflation and price volatility, according to the NDC's 2020 presidential candidate.
"The economy is on the verge of collapse; obviously, the NDC has managed the economy better!".
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) manages the economy better than the New Patriotic Party (NPP), according to former president Mahama.
But in response to him in a tweet, Mr. Ahiagbah wrote, "Clearly, the NDC cannot be better managers of the economy because the NDC could not solve Dumsor, manage the booming banking sector they inherited, or manage a small guinea fowl rearing project, etc.

The NPP Director of Communications emphasized that the NDC cannot be superior to the NPP because, while in power, the current main opposition party was unable to resolve the power challenges that burdened the populace and other issues that have since been resolved by the Akufo-Addo administration.
